How do you prevent loose skin after a c- section?

I just had a c- section a few days ago, I'm healing good except I noticed a large loose lump right under my belly button. Gross. How do I prevent it from getting worse?

To get your shape back quick is wearing a girdle that goes up to your chest. It puts you right back into shape fast and gives your body a mold combine it with breastfeeding and you'll bounce back quick.
Reply:the skin will tighten up as you heal.
Reply:Lots of sit ups as soon as the doctor says you able to start exercising again. I didn't do this and I regret it!
Reply:You can't, but it won't. It will tighten up in a couple of weeks. I looked like I had a fat lip hanging over my incision for a few weeks after my c-section, but it flattened up normal, and my scar shrunk too.
Reply:hipe you have the body to heal right I will always have a "beer Belly look
Reply:Exercise excercise exercise. The sooner the better.
Reply:i hope they cut u from side to side and not up and down. i had a c section 5 years ago and it healed crooked and they cut me too high so i look like a freak. your body will heal the bump, its only been a few days, surgery is always a trauma to the body since it is not natural. dont mess with you r stitches though
Reply:You just got to make sure you are not a fatty going into birth. Before you got prego I hope you took care of yourself and didn't eat a bunch of fattening crap leading up to your pregnancy. Ladies need to stay in shape.
Reply:you will probably never have as tight a tummy as you had but you will get most of it back . . if your section was only a few days ago, you have a lot of healing to do . . . eat well and add tofu to your diet (it helps pull skin back into the muscle - I know that about it but can't tell you how exactly) . . . when you are cleared to go back to "normal routine", crunches will help
