Surgery to remove excess "loose" skin from when I was about 90 pounds over weight. Is it safe? How mch $ it?

Risks

The risks of a given procedure are best discussed with the surgeon. In general, more extensive operations have higher complication rates. The usual risks such as possible blood loss, hematoma (mass caused by accumulation of blood) or seroma formation, and infection vary depending on the procedure, site of surgery, and facility.

Costs

You need to go in for a consultation to get the exact cost, each person is different.

However, from what I have found it can cost around $25,000 although a lot can be covered by insurance and most places provide financing.

Check with your doctor and see that the excess skin is donated to the Cancer Research Center.
Reply:I don't know about it being really safe, but I think it's definitely worth it. It probably ranges from 2.5-5k
Reply:Congrats on the weight loss.

Call a plastic surgeon and ask your questions. We are not doctor here.

Good luck.
Reply:Every time you go into some kind of surgery it's never save.. there are always risks..the cost I'm sure it depends on the doctors( due research) and how much skin they are going to take off..
