My pit bull puppy has loose skin on his back(along the spinal chord)if i pull on it it will stretch?

someone told me pits arent supposed to have extra skin, but he's only 10 weeks old. they implied that he must have sharpei in him but i swear he looks all pitbull with huge paws and head

Most puppies have extra skin. Both my pit bulls had it young. Not too much, though.
Reply:Puppies are suppose to extra skin on their back so that the mom can pick them up with ur mouth. So dont worry, your pup is normal!

Reply:My boxer was the same it is extra skin they will grow into it i guarantee. My boxer is now 8 months old and grew into all of his...Tell the ones who thinks he has sharpei in him to do some checking on dogs first before they speak.
Reply:Crazy!! lol. it just has to grow into it. It usually means they will grow to be a nice size dog. I have 2 pits, both of them had extra skin that I could pull atleat 6 inches from bodies. They are now both grown into it. The one is 110 lbs and the other is 100 lbs. Totally normal for a full-blooded pit.
