I hate to say it, but if you have oily skin (very active glands), then you'll shift the normal balance (which is an overproduction in your case) if you try to "dry up" the oil....which will result in MORE oil being produced.

Your skin has a minimum standard of oil that it produces every day. If you alter that production, your body will respond. Powders and makeup do NOT help. They make temporary adjustments which your body will always compensate for!
Reply:bare minerals.
Reply:Clinique Perfect Fit translucent powder, or anything matte
Reply:If you have acne prone skin, try to stay away from makeup because it only makes it worst. just let it heal itself.
Reply:If you are looking on the more affordable side you could try physician's formula powders. They have powders with salicyic acid to control acne, and they are Hypoallergenic, Fragrance-free, Oil free, Dermatologist approved, and Non-comedogenic. They have both pressed and loose powders available.

I have very sensitive skin (very fair) and really like these products.
Reply:for acne i have pure makeup from maybelline the foundation, the concealer and the powder
Reply:clinique or prescriptives go to lord and taylor or any fine dept store and they can help you.

Reply:it actually does not matter. your foundation that goes underneath is more important. look for oil free products. loose vs. pressed is merely personal preference. I like loose better. easier to apply with big fluffy brush. I asked at the bobbi brown make-up counter at nordstroms and they told me there was really no difference between the two. It just depends on what you like better. At home I prefer loose. But when I travel with my pressed powder since it is smaller case.
