IM NOT SURE HOW TO WORD THIS,BUT IF SOMEONE GOT THERE THUMB CAUGHT BETWEEN THE WHEEL AND THE BEAD OF A TIRE FOR A FULL SIZE CHEVY TRUCK,HE DIDNT LOOSE IT OR BRAKE IT BUT LOST ALL LAYERS OF SKIN ON THE BIGGEST PART OF THE THUMB. HE IS A REAL COUNTRY HICK AND DOESNT LIKE TO GO TO HOSPITALS. HE HAS BEEN TREATING IT HIMSELF AND KEEPING IT COVERED. WILL THIS WORK? WILL THE SKIN EVER GROW BACK BY ITSELF? ISNT THERE A BIG CHANCE THAT HE COULD DEVELOPE A INFECTION? OR WHAT IS THE WORST THAT COULD HAPPEN?

until u go to the doctor keep ur thumb away from water and humidity coz it help infection. Humidity can happen by keeping ur thumb covered for a long time. Change the bandage freqently and take antibiotiques.
