My goal is to lose 30lbs, will I get loose skin?

I'm planning on loosing just over 30lbs (I'm 148lbs now and my goal is 112lbs). The main area that I would like to change is my stomach (it's 32in now and I want 24/25in). Will this leave me with sagging skin?

Also, could someone suggest a workout which burns fat from the tummy in particular?

Thankyou

Make sure you drink alot of water when you diet, it helps the skin maintain it's elasticity so it won't sag after your weight loss. And do some toning exercises 2 to 3 times a week to make it work faster.
Reply:First, unfortunately you can't burn fat from a particular area. As you lose weight you lose fat from everywhere. Everyone is different and you may see results in particular areas first, however. You can tone your tummy though, and strengthening those muscles will make your tummy flatter, but dieting in general will get rid of the fat layer over the tummy muscles. Whether or not you will have sagging skin depends on how old you are, how elastic your skin is (genetics), and whether you've had children. Worst case scenario, you'll look fabulous in clothes and 1 piece bathing suits. Best case, you'll look fabulous in a bikini. Good luck.
Reply:This really depends on your age. You may get loose skin if you lose the weight too quickly also.

You can't focus on a specific area to lose weight. You can increase the tone in that area, but your body has it's own plan on where to take the calories it needs. Usually the last place you gained it is the first place it leaves.
Reply:of course you will.......... go to the gym and talk to a trainer or just start exercising now........... if you loose it slower the skin has a chance to go down slower too........... too fast and it will just hang and sag........... and the weight will not stay off anyway................ I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and am very fit................... but I was not at one time....... ever here the saying good things come to those who wait............. well......... every action has a reaction so working out will most definitely help you................ good luck and much encouragement to you to achieve your goal........... it can happen if you want it too. Make sure you change your diet at the same time to include only the good things you should be eating.
Reply:Your skin won't sag if the weight loss is gradual. If you crash diet and lose the 30 pounds in like 2 months or less, there is a chance your skin won't be able to catch up so fast, and it could sag. Also, in addition to dieting, if you have a workout plan that include a toning exercise like Pilates, that will help preserve elasticity. Pilates elongates and tones muscle without giving you that awful body-builder look. In fact, it will give you an incredible dancer-body, all tight with good abs and slender thighs. The best thing about Pilates is that it incorporates a style of breathing that actually works your tummy muscles out all during the workout, so you end up with a very impressive "core." Good luck!!
Reply:I can help with the skin question, but I dont know much about the exercise.

remember to moisturize your skin especially in the areas you will be dropping the pounds. especially the abs/stomach muscles that you will be working on. dont forget the thighs, everyone does.

the drier the skin the the more sagging skin will be visible once the excess weight is gone. I used this when I was pregnant, gained 30 lbs and lost all the weight no sagging belly. my cousin who was is in her late 20's has a belly. I just had a baby, I am 38 not sagging, have great abs and currently weigh about 115lbs.

Best of luck to you.
