I'm 16 years old, and I lost around 75 pounds, but now my skin on my stomach is loose, what should I do?

I lost 75 pounds, and now the skin on my stomach is loose. I run almost everyday, and lift weights at the gym every other day, I'm going to start to do sit ups at home, but will that help tighten the loose skin on my stomach? Also do you have a suggestions on how to tighten the skin, will it just take time, or is surgery the only route? I went from 293 to 218. Thanks for your help- in advance.

Take a week or two off your work out routine.This will let your mucsles rest and grow and let you body sort of resolidify.I know it sounds weird but give it a try.I went from 260 to 180 and it woked for me baby steps man it don't happen overnite

Reply:You can't lose skin, you need to see a doctor, and when I say doctor, I mean plastic surgeon.
Reply:you lost a lot of weight and the skin needs time to catch up =because you are younger ,you will be able to do sit-ups and twists ,and bends to hurry the tightening process up =good luck
Reply:Congratulations, 75 pounds!! loose skin can be eliminated by working out, join a gym to tone up..it's hard work but will give you the best results in the long run but losing weight is hard work and you succeeded there so i would so go for it.
Reply:Doing all sorts of stomach excercise (working all muscles) sounds like it could do you a lot of good. Just do them a lot, and eat right, too. Also, check out some skin lotions- stuff for tightening the skin. I've used some on my legs, and they worked pretty well. Ask a girl friend to help you find some good ones! hehe. Give it a little time to catch up with your body and remember since you are only 16 you are still growing and will get taller which in turn will help use up the extra skin. Use a good lotion on your skin and drink plenty of water in order to help increase the elasticity of your skin. avoid suntanning for now.
