I recently lost about 75 lbs. with diet and exercise. How can i reduce the loose skin?

first of all, congratulations on the loss.

second, i'd like to say that filling up the loose skin with muscle is highly improbable. go to a butcher and look at 75 pounds of lean meat, does that look like a realistic addition?

Although weight training is a good idea, most of the excess skin will need to be removed via surgery.

"Weight training. For variety do different numbers of reps at different weights for each set. Following your workout with a soy-whey protein shake should help you lose weight and build muscle." -some poor misguided soul who answered before me (sunnybear or something)

and for the sake of not wasting time, if you are going to weight train (which you probably already are), don't follow the above advice [Super Squats by Randall J Strossen is a great place to start if you are serious about weighttraining and don't mind getting into a power rack to lift a barbell that signifigantly outweighs you] , and soy is known to increase estrogen levels, antagonist of testosterone (what you want).

goodluck.

Surgery is the only way to fix that.
Reply:Unfortunately surgery is the only answer
Reply:Sorry, only surgery can fix the loose skin.

Did you loose the weight too fast?

Reply:It depends how much loose skin you have. If its just a little it may reduce itself with time. Weight training may help you tone up the areas to reduce the look of it as well. If its a lot then the only way to get rid of it is to have plastic surgery to remove it. It also depends on your age because the older you get the less elastic your skin is so if you are older and especially if you have spent the majority of your life over weight then you might be out of luck no matter what your case.
